2023 was a record year for investments in the agro-industrial complex for the Lipetsk region. An absolute record in the history of the region was set – 37.2 billion rubles, of which 21.2 billion rubles were allocated to agriculture, 15.9 billion to the food industry.
For comparison, in 2009 investments in the agro-industrial complex did not exceed 10 billion rubles, said the vice-governor of the Lipetsk region Igor Kremnev at a weekly operational meeting in the regional government.
Steady growth of investments is ensured by the systematic support of commodity producers in the region by the Government of the Russian Federation, as well as co-financing of all programs by the region itself. To date, 35 agro-industrial projects worth 93 billion rubles are being implemented in the Lipetsk region, and more than 1,500 jobs are planned to be created at the new enterprises. Currently, a register has been opened for the issuance of preferential loans to agricultural producers, which are significantly lower than the commercial rates of banks.
“Attracting investments and opening new enterprises give an increase in exports. Last year, the Lipetsk region entered the TOP-15 exporting regions. Agricultural products occupy one of the main positions in the structure of foreign trade,” said Igor Artamonov, Governor of the Lipetsk Region.
